The Shipbuilder Engagement Team supports all shipbuilders. Through efforts like Culture Connectors, Ingalls Champions and employee resource groups (ERGs), the team fosters a workplace where shipbuilders can thrive, grow and enjoy their work.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us that “everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”
Congratulations to Sarah Davis, industrial engineer, on being named the 2025 Ingalls Champion of the Year! Nominated by her peers, Sarah is known for always saying “yes” when help is needed. She consistently gives her time to support shipyard events and community initiatives.
When shipbuilders feel connected, supported and inspired, that’s a true representation of engagement. This message was clear at the third annual Shipbuilder Engagement Day.
Holiday treats set the scene as the new employee resource group CODE held their debut Cookies & Cocoa event. Shipbuilders enjoyed networking and learning about CODE’s mission.
Shipbuilders in Business Management left the new hire meet-and-greet feeling inspired and connected. This event gave shipbuilders new to Ingalls face time with leadership, as well as access to numerous resources and opportunities to network.
Shipbuilders continue to show up in big ways – especially during the holiday season. Ingalls worked alongside Chevron and Extra Table at the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Pascagoula as volunteers packed 12,000 pounds of sweet potatoes and over 6,000 pounds of rice. The rice alone will help cover over 80,000 meals for local food pantries and families in our community.
Families across South Mississippi will have the help they need this holiday season thanks to the generosity of Ingalls shipbuilders.
Ingalls Shipbuilding welcomed nearly 50 leaders from across the state as part of Leadership Mississippi’s latest cohort. During their visit, Ingalls President Brian Blanchette shared an inside look at our company and his perspective on leadership, – emphasizing trust, empowerment and continuous learning.
Students from across Mississippi got the opportunity to see the mission-critical work we do at Ingalls firsthand during a recent visit to the shipyard. The Mississippi Youth Leadership Program, which consists of 45 students and is led by Secretary of State Michael Watson, had the opportunity to tour Ingalls and learn about the magnitude of work being done here.
“I can tell you I’ve never been so scared in my life, but I’m forever grateful for the DDG that saved me.”
In a season meant for giving, Moss Point Backpack Buddies and Ingalls shipbuilders are meeting the growing need for food security.
Partnering with the American Red Cross, shipbuilders volunteered their time installing free smoke alarms for Moss Point residents.
Shipbuilders are helping spread joy this holiday to active-duty troops, volunteering their time to assemble 1,000 care packages. The event was held in partnership with the United Service Organizations (USO) to show support for those serving over the holiday season.
In honor of Veterans Day, shipbuilders found powerful ways to appreciate the courage, sacrifice and service of those who’ve given so much to protect our nation.
All-hands meetings are about sharing important information, recognizing achievements and aligning on company goals and priorities. Shipbuilders in Contracts & Pricing (C&P) put their own spin on the traditional touchpoint by hosting a fall carnival.
On Saturday, October 25, shipbuilders across the Gulf Coast put their best foot forward, supporting three impactful community events in one day of giving back.
How you respond to change in the workplace can play a huge role in your career. Jenni Jones, Chief of Staff, Hull, used her experience with change and turned it into a teachable moment at the latest professional development series, “Adapting with Impact: Strategies for Navigating Change.”
The Culture Connector Service Committee volunteered at the annual Family Fiesta Night at Pascagoula High School. Shipbuilders used this event as a recruiting opportunity for students while giving back to the local community.
Join Veterans Employee Resource Team (VERT) and Culture Connectors for a Veterans Day Program honoring the service and dedication of our Ingalls shipbuilders who have served in the military.
Join fellow shipbuilders for a special volunteer event in partnership with the USO as we kick off our Holiday Giving season. Together, we’ll assemble 2,000 care packages for active-duty military members — a hands-on way to support those we proudly build for.
You’re invited to participate in Adapting with Impact: Strategies for Navigating Change, a professional development session designed to help you lead yourself and others more effectively through transition.
The holiday season is a time to give, connect, and care for one another — and no one does that better than our shipbuilders.
