Ingalls is proud to announce that the application period for its annual science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) grant awards is now open for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Shipbuilders had the opportunity to sit down with leaders from Ingalls during Connect with Directs, a speed networking event hosted by the Culture Connector Networking Committee. This unique event brought shipbuilders and business leaders together for real conversations and networking, giving them a chance to meet face-to-face with coworkers and leaders from different trades, departments and experience levels—one conversation at a time.

THE BIG PICTURE: The America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) — which include two ships built at Ingalls — have finished their first mission of 2025.
I’m pleased to announce the promotion of April Martin to Director of Information Systems Technology. In this role, she will continue to lead IT operations—including end user deployments, network and infrastructure—and will also now oversee application development and deployment to support the needs of the business.

This summer, Ingalls interns are leading Lights of Hope, a service project supporting the American Cancer Society. For a $10 donation, you can purchase and decorate a luminary bag in honor or memory of someone impacted by cancer. Take a look back at highlights from the christening of the future USS Jeremiah Denton (DDG 129), held June 28 at Ingalls. The ceremony was attended by many honored guests, including shipbuilders and their loved ones, members of the Denton family, Navy officials and elected dignitaries, and retirees from the U.S. Armed Forces Retirement home.
