Our team recently joined the Gulf Coast Community Foundation for its annual 228 Day celebration, an event that brings people and businesses together to strengthen the communities of South Mississippi. Even if you’re not familiar with GCCF, their mission is simple: they support local programs and initiatives that help our region grow stronger, healthier, and more resilient.
The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce’s First Responders Luncheon brought together community partners to honor local first responders who serve and protect Jackson County. The luncheon reflected not only the collaboration that keeps our community safe, but also the fierce spirit that defines our local first responders – a reminder to move through each day with gratitude, strength and the ability to find moments of joy even in challenging times.
On February 12, twenty-five students from Pascagoula High School, Resurrection Catholic School, and local home schools visited Ingalls Shipbuilding to learn about our work and explore career paths. Several students whose parents are current shipbuilders shared their perspectives on the significance of the work their parents do each day. These students are part of the Pascagoula Mayor’s Youth Council – a program designed to connect young leaders with industry professionals and give them a behind-the-scenes look at opportunities in their city.
We were proud to host the 2026 Leadership Jackson County class during their Industry Day. The group enjoyed a morning of conversation and a windshield tour of the shipyard – gaining insight into the innovation and craftsmanship behind our work. We’re honored to play a role in shaping future leaders of Jackson County.
When extreme winter weather disrupted daily life across North Mississippi, Ingalls Shipbuilding stepped in to support neighbors facing limited access to essential supplies.

On January 30, we invite shipbuilders to join us for a volunteer event that will help support the fight against hunger. As part of this ongoing commitment to our community, Ingalls is proud to serve as a regional sponsor of March of the Mayors, a month-long effort focused on raising awareness and taking action to address hunger in our communities.
Shipbuilders continue to show up in big ways – especially during the holiday season. Ingalls worked alongside Chevron and Extra Table at the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Pascagoula as volunteers packed 12,000 pounds of sweet potatoes and over 6,000 pounds of rice. The rice alone will help cover over 80,000 meals for local food pantries and families in our community.
Families across South Mississippi will have the help they need this holiday season thanks to the generosity of Ingalls shipbuilders.
Ingalls Shipbuilding welcomed nearly 50 leaders from across the state as part of Leadership Mississippi’s latest cohort. During their visit, Ingalls President Brian Blanchette shared an inside look at our company and his perspective on leadership, – emphasizing trust, empowerment and continuous learning.
Students from across Mississippi got the opportunity to see the mission-critical work we do at Ingalls firsthand during a recent visit to the shipyard. The Mississippi Youth Leadership Program, which consists of 45 students and is led by Secretary of State Michael Watson, had the opportunity to tour Ingalls and learn about the magnitude of work being done here.
In a season meant for giving, Moss Point Backpack Buddies and Ingalls shipbuilders are meeting the growing need for food security.
On Saturday, October 25, shipbuilders across the Gulf Coast put their best foot forward, supporting three impactful community events in one day of giving back.
Join fellow shipbuilders for a special volunteer event in partnership with the USO as we kick off our Holiday Giving season. Together, we’ll assemble 2,000 care packages for active-duty military members — a hands-on way to support those we proudly build for.
Shipbuilders volunteered their time, knowledge and passion at Science Saturday, an event hosted by Walter Anderson Museum of Art (WAMA) in Ocean Springs. Designed to inspire future innovators, the event offered a full day of hands-on learning, blending science, technology, engineering, art and math in fun and accessible ways for all ages.
On Saturday, September 27, shipbuilders joined hundreds of walkers at Jones Park in Gulfport for the 2025 Gulf Coast Heart Walk — a morning filled with sunshine, smiles, and support for heart health.
Over the past two weeks, shipbuilders came together to support animals in need—collecting nearly 250 pounds of kibble, more than 100 cans of wet food, plus towels, cleaning supplies, treats, and toys for the Jackson County Animal Shelter.
Ingalls Shipbuilding welcomed nonprofit leaders from across the Gulf Coast on September 12 for its third annual Community Partner Workshop, an event designed to foster collaboration between industry and nonprofits, share best practices and strengthen community relationships.

September 1 through September 12, we’re collecting much-needed supplies for the Jackson County Animal Shelter in Gautier, which cares for hundreds of cats and dogs each year. Remember—donating one can of pet food truly CAN make a difference.
Ingalls is proud to continue supporting this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s, taking place on Saturday, October 4 at Point Cadet in Biloxi. This event brings together families, caregivers, and advocates across the Gulf Coast to raise awareness and support for the Alzheimer’s Association—an organization dedicated to advancing research, providing care and support, and giving hope to the millions impacted by this disease.
With fall just around the corner, it’s the perfect season to step outside and enjoy outdoor activities that bring awareness to our health and create real impact. Whether it’s walking alongside a team, volunteering at an event or contributing through fundraising, every action makes a difference.
Across three days in August, over 140 luminary bags created a meaningful display in honor of those impacted by cancer.
