Ingalls Champions is a volunteer program which gives you the opportunity to support special events and create memorable experiences. Volunteers will get a behind the scenes experience of these events, giving them an opportunity to network with other shipbuilders and be part of a collective effort to shine a light on the hard work our shipbuilders do each day.
Everyone on the Ingalls Champions volunteer team will be invited to take part in a special ceremony at the end of the year, where Volunteer of the Year and other acknowledgements will be presented.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

SHIPBUILDER RESOURCE SHOWCASE
Shipbuilders attend this event to learn what’s available to them at the Shipbuilder Resource Showcase. Volunteer opportunities include flyer distribution, set up, greeting shipbuilders, water distribution and cleaning up after the event is over.
APPRENTICESHIP GRADUATIONS
Ingalls Shipbuilding hosts commencement ceremonies to celebrate the graduates and their achievements of this prestigious workforce development program. Volunteers help greet guests, guide them to their seats and assist with other tasks as needed.
CHRISTENINGS
Christening a ship is a revered tradition in the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard, representing a major milestone in the ship’s life. The audience is treated to a display of patriotism and excitement. Ingalls Champions welcome guests to their seats and contribute to a quality experience for this event.
