Embracing differences, celebrating diversity, finding a community. That’s what Employee Resource Groups at Ingalls hope to do by bringing shipbuilders together.
An ERG meet-up will be held Thursday, June 2nd, from 11am to 12pm in the CSAIII cafeteria. This will be a fun-filled event to learn more about the nine ERGs at Ingalls. There will be giveaways, networking opportunities and more!
With 11,300 shipbuilders at Ingalls, we have a team of diverse talent. Ingalls is committed to celebrating the many unique traits that makes up our work force. One of the ways that is done is through ERGs.
Currently, there are nine ERGs that offer shipbuilders a chance to join a community:
- African American Shipbuilders Association (AASA)
- Asian & Pacific Islander Shipbuilders Association (APISA)
- Generational Integration Focus Team (GIFT)
- Ingalls Shipbuilding Equality Alliance (ISEA)
- Shipbuilding Women Engineers (SWE)
- Hispanic Outreach & Leadership Alliance (HOLA)
- Women in Shipbuilding Enterprise (WISE)
- Veterans Employee Resource Team (VERT)
- Ingalls Shipbuilders Health is a Priority (ISHIP)
ERGs are open to any employee that wishes to join. These volunteer groups of employees come together to provide their members with opportunities for networking, community outreach, and professional development.
