Time Charging Guidance

Ingalls continues efforts to minimize the impacts of Coronavirus on our shipbuilders. Please use this guidance for timekeeping in START or ACCURATE regarding approved COVID-19 testing and quarantine.

COVID-19 Testing Time Charging:

COVID-19 Testing Time Chargeable to Ingalls Only if:

  • Ingalls Medical Department contacts you to report for testing. If you are eligible for testing pay, Ingalls Medical Department will input the charge number into your record.

COVID-19 Testing Time Not Chargeable to Ingalls if:

  • Ingalls Medical Department did not contact you to report for testing (even if your management directs you to get tested). During working hours, employees must use management-approved PTO, FLEX or vacation when testing for COVID-19.

COVID-19 Quarantine Time Charging:

  • If you test positive at the Ingalls COVID-19 Testing Center, Ingalls Payroll Department will input the quarantine pay charge number into your record for the remainder of your quarantine period, up to 5 days, if eligible.
  • If you test positive at an offsite location, contact Ingalls Medical Department at (228) 935-1922 or CovidResponse@hii-ingalls.com to provide a copy of your test results. If you are eligible for quarantine pay, Ingalls Payroll Department will input the quarantine pay charge number into your record.
  • Reminder: Employees are considered eligible for quarantine pay if they are fully vaccinated and it is their first occurrence. Visit the Ingalls Coronavirus Webpage to read the updated quarantine policy.
