Dear Shipbuilders,
As a team we have been making the best decisions possible based on a fluid situation and direction from the federal government. Central to those decisions have been the safety of people and our mission. At over 80% fully and partially vaccinated, we have achieved a significant milestone both in keeping our community safe and ensuring that we continue focusing on our mission.
With the recent update, we know that the deadline for federal contractors has been extended from December 8 to January 4. We still believe the best outcome is for us to be fully vaccinated and we remain committed to keeping our community safe. For those who are vaccinated, thank you. New hires will continue to be vaccinated as well. For those already on the team who are not yet vaccinated, we are working across the enterprise to determine the steps that will be necessary to keep everyone safe.
We will continue to work through this together. Our customers and country are depending on it.
