As we are now experiencing the effects of Tropical Storm Cristobal, we must remain focused on changing conditions, while also keeping the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in mind.

During the heavy weather, temperature checks at the gates may need to be suspended. Therefore, it is essential that you do what you can EVERY DAY to help stop the spread of the virus.

  1. STAY HOME IF YOU FEEL SICK!
  1. Conduct a DAILY SELF-CHECK at home before you come to work.

To conduct a daily self-check, please complete the following steps:

  • Check your temperature, and if it is over 100.4 degrees STAY HOME
  • If you are experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or feel like you have a fever STAY HOME
  • If you have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 STAY HOME, but notify your supervisor about your close contact, so we can continue to keep the workforce safe.
  1. YOU DO NOT NEED TO COME TO WORK TO BE SCREENED!

DO NOT come to the shipyard if you feel sick. You can be SCREENED OVER THE PHONE by calling the Ingalls Medical Department at 228-935-1922, Monday- Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or by calling the Singing River Hospital Coronavirus Hotline at 228-809-5044 any time, day or night.  You can also contact your primary healthcare provider. Then, if necessary and as directed, you may be scheduled for drive-up testing at the shipyard.

Spread the word not the virus.  These steps will help ensure the health and safety of all employees.

Thank you for your cooperation.
