Congratulations to the 2023 master shipbuilders!

It is with great appreciation that Ingalls Shipbuilding congratulates and recognizes employees who have achieved four decades of continuous service. These employees have reached 40 years of service at Ingalls, with many joining an elite club of shipbuilders who are continuing their service beyond 40 years.

“You have to be dedicated to be a master at anything,” said master shipbuilder Rickey Triplett, designer, Engineering. “Every day won’t be easy, every day won’t be hard, but you have to be patient and want to do the work.”

The talent and dedication of these master shipbuilders distinguish us in the industry and enable Ingalls to build great ships for our country. Shipbuilding is hard and noble work, and these individuals have helped sustain our mission. Our legacy of building freedom would not be as rich without the contributions of shipbuilders like these men and women.

“Along the Gulf Coast, this is one of the best jobs you could have,” said engineer Paula Hollis. “It has employed lots of people, raised a bunch of families and sent kids to college.”
