Shipbuilders showed their support in a big way at this year’s Breast Cancer Walk, joining families and community members at Pelican Landing. Many walked to honor loved ones, celebrate survivors or simply stand alongside coworkers for a cause that impacts countless families across our region.

“Volunteerism means showing up, serving others and making a positive difference wherever you can,” said Jaylon Johnson, production planning and scheduler. “I’m grateful to have been a part of an event that brings people together for such an important cause.”

The event offered moments of reflection and encouragement as participants helped raise awareness for critical breast cancer research and support services. This reminded everyone when shipbuilders come together, the impact reaches far beyond the shipyard.
