The more shipbuilders who participate, the more meaningful the results become.
Represented shipbuilders: You will complete the survey during scheduled sessions using company‑provided devices.
Non‑represented shipbuilders: You will receive an email invitation from Perceptyx with a link to complete the survey during the survey period.
Tell It is part of HII’s new employee listening system, powered by Perceptyx, a trusted third‑party platform. Your responses are confidential. Ingalls and HII do not receive individual responses—only summarized results from groups of shipbuilders.
Whether it’s communication, leadership, resources, teamwork or opportunities to grow, your feedback gives leaders a clearer understanding of what’s working and where changes are needed.
After the survey closes, leaders will review the results, identify priorities, and share key findings along with actions aimed at improving the shipbuilder experience.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why are we using Perceptyx? Perceptyx collects and analyzes employee feedback to identify common themes and help leaders better understand where improvements may be needed.
Why do I use my MyID to access the survey? Your MyID is used to make sure each shipbuilder receives only one survey and to group results by department or organization. Ingalls and HII do not receive individual responses.
Can anyone at Ingalls see how I responded? No. Individual responses are not shared with Ingalls, HII or your manager.
Who sees the results? Leaders receive summarized results for their organizations to help identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
What kinds of questions will be asked? The survey covers topics such as your overall work experience, leadership and communication, resources and work environment, teamwork and culture, and opportunities to learn and grow.
How long does the survey take? Most shipbuilders can complete the survey in less than five minutes.
Will a charge number be provided for represented shipbuilders? Yes. A charge number will be provided to cover time spent taking the survey.
What if I don’t speak or read English? The survey is available in multiple languages, including Spanish and Vietnamese. Lab monitors can help shipbuilders select the correct language option.
What about new shipbuilders? Shipbuilders hired while the survey is open will be added to the system and can complete the survey once they are added using their MyID.
What will offsite represented shipbuilders do? Offsite represented shipbuilders will take the survey either at the Apprentice School (COSAL) or at their home location using company-provided devices.
What if I’m a represented shipbuilder with a company email? You may complete the survey using the link emailed to you or during your scheduled survey session.
Will shipbuilders see the results? Yes. Key findings and planned actions will be shared after leaders review the results.
What is continuous listening? Continuous listening means gathering feedback throughout the year, not just through one survey, to better understand shipbuilders’ experiences and changing needs.
Does Perceptyx use AI? Yes. AI helps identify common themes and trends in survey responses so leaders can better understand the feedback.
