For test engineer Mack Payne, that support made a clear difference.
“After meeting with my career counselor, I built a really strong portfolio and started applying for different careers I was interested in,” he said.
With new confidence and clear direction, Mack began exploring roles that matched his skills and goals.
His hard work paid off.
“I ended up landing a job as a test engineer doing deck gear for the DDG program,” he said.
Mack began his journey at Ingalls as an electrician. The step forward not only advanced his career but also showed him how many opportunities Ingalls offers to those willing to grow.
He credits much of that growth to the guidance he received.
“I am very grateful for career counseling for directing me in the right direction,” Mack said. “It gave me great feedback on what to work on within myself and what things I should do to help me get closer to achieving my goals.”
