Pascagoula Police Department was called to Ingalls Shipbuilding this evening to investigate a written bomb threat that was found onboard a ship under construction. The potential threat was isolated to that one ship, and all personnel were evacuated out of an abundance of caution while other shipyard operations continued as normal. Police have now completed their investigation and confirmed there was no threat. All personnel have been cleared to return, and normal operations have resumed. Ingalls has zero tolerance for threats to our shipbuilders or Navy assets. The safety and security of our shipbuilders remain our top priority.
