The Shipbuilder Resource Showcase brought people from across the yard together to explore the many tools and programs designed to support them.
As shipbuilders visited each resource tent—HR, Benefits, HERO, Anchor Apparel, and more—they saw the wide range of services available at Ingalls to help them succeed.
Culture Connectors played a key role throughout the event, guiding shipbuilders, answering questions and creating a welcoming space.
“I went to every resource under the tents to see how I benefit from them as a shipbuilder. Some I’ve used multiple times,” said Adonis Simms, Electrical apprentice and Culture Connector. “The Shipbuilder Resource Showcase is a prime example of how working at Ingalls is more than just a paycheck. It makes our lives better both in and outside the shipyard.”
The showcase offered an upbeat, informative environment where shipbuilders could connect, ask questions and learn about programs that support their daily work and long-term goals.
The Shipbuilder Suggestion Program was one of the vendors shipbuilders were very excited to hear about.
“I really enjoyed connecting with shipbuilders from different areas as the resource showcase opens the door for new collaboration,” said Kelly Simpson, industrial engineer. “The event was an important platform for spreading awareness about the program and encouraging greater engagement with our cost reduction initiatives.”
Events like this highlight the strength of Ingalls—its people — helping shipbuilders feel more connected and building a stronger shipyard one conversation at a time.
