Each Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on the Americans who never made it home, laying down their lives to protect our country and the freedoms we hold dear.

At Ingalls, that remembrance is personal. We honor and remember our fellow shipbuilders who made the ultimate sacrifice:
  • U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Coater B. DeBose
  • U.S. Army Sgt. Terrance D. Lee Sr.
  • U.S. Army 1st Lt. Robert Oneto-Sikorski
They were part of the Ingalls family before they became part of our nation’s legacy.

As America prepares to mark 250 years of independence, their service is a reminder that freedom is not guaranteed. It is defended by generations of Americans willing to stand watch, serve and sacrifice.

That responsibility is one we each carry, as the ships we build continue to carry today’s warfighters into harm’s way.

On Memorial Day, we remember those we have lost, and we honor them by continuing to build with purpose and do what is right for the warfighter
