I am pleased to announce the promotion of Pete Hanley to Director of Contracts Administration, where he will guide contract strategy, negotiation, compliance and execution across the Ingalls portfolio.
With 23 years of experience at Ingalls, Pete brings a strong record of leadership in program finance and contract strategy. He previously served as Business Manager for multiple ship programs, where he helped negotiate significant contract awards, including most recently for LPDs 33-35 and LHA 10.
Pete holds a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University and is a graduate of Leadership Jackson County. He is a three-time recipient of the Business Management organization’s Outstanding Achievement Award, having received it in 2004, 2008 and 2011. Additionally, Pete is very active in his community, volunteering with multiple youth sports programs in Ocean Springs.
Stepping into the role of Amphibious Program Business Manager is Shelly Laughlin, who will oversee program profitability, financial forecasting, analysis and overall business performance. With nearly a decade at Ingalls, Shelly has held several key leadership roles, including Contracts Administration Manager across DDG, LPD, LHA and FF(X) programs. She has also served as Chief of Staff to the Chief Financial Officer, as well as DDG Business Manager and Rates & Budgets Manager.
Shelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Troy University and is also a previous graduate of Leadership Jackson County. She’s been named as a OneCoast Top 10 Business Leader Under 40 and currently serves as executive board president for Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs.
Please join me in congratulating and supporting Pete and Shelly as they move into these important leadership roles and continue to help drive our business forward.
