When Ingalls is in the room, our impact is unmistakable. And when shipbuilders lend their voices, they carry the strength of our entire workforce with them.

That was clear at the 2026 Southeastern Leadership Conference, where Ingalls shipbuilders took center stage.

This year, Ingalls was recognized with the Excellence in Workforce & Industry Impact Award, a reflection of the work our shipbuilders do every day: building the nation’s most advanced ships while strengthening the communities around us.

The award, presented during the conference’s inaugural Corporate Awards Dinner, honors organizations making a lasting difference across the region.

On the Women in Leadership Panel, I&S Vice President Fatina Brave spoke to the strength, resilience and leadership of Ingalls women. Her message highlighted the same qualities that help drive our shipyard forward every day — from mentoring to milestone achievements to shaping the next generation of shipbuilders.

Jakavious Pickett, Chief of Staff, Infrastructure & Sustainability (I&S), contributed to the Executive Workforce & Economic Development panel, bringing a shipbuilder’s perspective to the challenges and opportunities shaping the region’s workforce. His insight reminded attendees how vital our people are to economic growth.

Conference participants also heard from keynote leaders who reinforced themes Ingalls lives daily: investing in people, leading with purpose and building strong communities.
