Shipbuilders,

As we return to work tomorrow, I want to take a moment to address the tragic event that occurred at our facility on Friday. We know Monday will be difficult. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family, friends, and everyone affected. I want to thank each of you for the strength and compassion you have shown over the past few days. We are one team, and we will get through this together.

In times like these, it is important to remind one another that support is available. Counselors will be onsite starting at 5:30 AM in the Covey Room.

The HERO Program is a free, private resource that is open 24/7 for you and your family members. If you need someone to talk to, please reach out: 1-855-400-9185.

Safety has always been and will continue to be our highest priority. Law enforcement is actively leading the investigation, and we are cooperating fully. At the same time, I want to be clear: if you see or hear anything that raises concern about safety, report it immediately to Security by calling 228-935-4252.

Every voice matters in keeping our workplace safe.

Please continue to look out for one another. Take care of yourselves and those around you, and do not hesitate to use the resources available to you.

With respect and appreciation,
Brian
