I am proud to announce the appointments of Stephen Janowski as Director of Amphibious Programs and Kevin Rahmel as Director of Strategic Outsourcing.
In his new role, Stephen will oversee all phases of LHA and LPD program management, from start to completion, ensuring schedules, technical performance and costs align with objectives. He will manage budgets, contracts and proposals while serving as the primary customer contact for program activities. Stephen’s leadership will focus on expanding product lines, pursuing business opportunities and ensuring program execution.
With over 24 years at Ingalls, Stephen has contributed to various programs, including LHA 8, LPD 29 and LPD 30 as Ship Program Manager. He has also held various positions in Engineering, Operations,Central Planning and Supply Chain Management. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Alabama and has been the recipient of a Chairman’s Award and multiple DDG Aegis Excellence Awards.
Kevin will assume the role of Director of Strategic Outsourcing, where he will lead and execute Ingalls’ outsourcing strategy and vision in support of our shipbuilding programs. In this position, he will focus on optimizing strategic partnerships and ensuring operational excellence.
An Ingalls shipbuilder since 2001, Kevin has spent time working in multiple departments, including Executive Chief of Staff, Program Management, and previously in Supply Chain Management contributing to several ship classes. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University. Kevin’s expertise and dedication make him an excellent fit for this critical role.
