With the launch of LHA 8, we have an opportunity to evolve our organizational model around finishing our LHA-class ships. In order to accomplish this, as well as leverage experience gained on the waterfront into critical enabling efforts in Supply Chain Management, we are making the following changes to our organizational model, effective immediately.

In order to fully incorporate his relevant perspective and knowledge around critical suppliers, Stephen Janowski will assume the role of director of Critical Supplier Production Management. This role is also being elevated within Supply Chain Management in order to ensure maximum focus and influence in providing equipment and material from some of our most integral partners in our shipbuilding supplier network to our shipbuilders.

Just finishing LPD 29 with her team, Davianne Stokes will now join the experienced LHA 8 team as ship program manager as the ship moves more fully into the system completion and test phases of construction. Davianne brings with her a strong servant-leadership perspective with two finished LPDs to her team's credit.

In addition, as LHA 9 continues to move more heavily into unit construction, Steve Jones will assume the role of construction manager bringing the experience of building prior LHAs to bear on this important program.

With nearly three decades of shipbuilding experience, Rodney Grace is being promoted to the role of LHA 8 construction manager, bringing his previous knowledge as general ship superintendent to this new endeavor. In this position, Rodney will oversee SuperMod 2, the Mod 5 electronic spaces and open decks.

Finally, Randy Padgett will take on the overall responsibilities of construction manager for LHA 8, leveraging his combined 33 years of Ingalls experience in the construction of all of our ships, with specific expertise in electrical and LHA-specific production efforts.

Please join us in celebrating these leaders in their new roles as they move us forward on these important programs.
