Integrated Communications & Stakeholder Engagement adds scope of work.
Recently, the newly formed, Integrated Communications and Stakeholder Engagement department was announced. This new department will enhance communications and engagement with key stakeholders inside and outside of the shipbuilding community while continuing to support Ingalls Shipbuilding's mission and purpose. This will be accomplished through internal and external efforts in marketing and communications, special events, community relations, corporate stewardship and government affairs.
Additional roles have been added that will allow this team to better understand, connect with and showcase the hard work our shipbuilders do every day to build the greatest ships in the world.
Jack Norris has joined the department and will continue in his role as director for State and Local Government Affairs. As part of his responsibilities, Jack will continue to lead and support the company's relationships with state, local and regional governmental entities, as well as the company's interface with community-based organizations and its partnerships with regional business committees, councils and economic/community development organizations. His support of HII Corporate-level government affairs programs will also continue.
Jakavious Pickett has been promoted to manager of Shipbuilder Engagement. In this new role, he and his team will work to connect with shipbuilders. They will focus on fostering an environment that turns feedback into action. Previously, he served as the Community and Corporate Stewardship representative. A retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Jakavious has previously served as program director for the East Biloxi Community Collaborative and as security supervisor of the Department of Veteran Affairs. He is also the lead pastor at Praise Temple of Biloxi.
Lisa Bradley will continue her strong efforts as manager of Corporate Stewardship and Community Relations. Through this role, she leads the company's giving strategy, creates community engagement opportunities and keeps our relationships with community organizations impactful.
Stephanie Dambrino will continue to serve as manager of Trade Shows and Special Events. She creates first class experiences at every touchpoint for shipbuilders and stakeholders through christenings, VIP visits, national trade shows and more.
Katie Weldon will remain our trailblazer as manager of Integrated Communications and Strategic Marketing. This role enables her team to promote Ingalls' mission and purpose to internal and external audiences.
