After Saturday's eastward trek, shipbuilders moved Jack H. Lucas southward to centerline of the floating drydock Sunday, May 30.

Jack H. Lucas (DDG 125), the first Flight III Arleigh Burkeclass Aegis guided missile destroyer, is preparing to enter the water. Last weekend, shipbuilders used 72 translation carts to move the ship 1,888 feet from the site where she was built to the centerline of the floating drydock. The ship is undergoing final pre-launch inspections and final paint prior to launch. A video of the translation and launch will be available on the IngallsConnect App and HII Newsroom after the ship is in the water
