Security officer Christine Bates with Ethics On-The-Spot Award.

Security officer Christine Bates took lifesaving measures when she witnessed a fellow employee choking on a snack.

Bates performed the Heimlich maneuver and dislodged the food stuck in the employee’s throat.

The victim, who nominated Bates for an Ethics On-The- Spot Award, said she might not be here today if not for Bates.

On-The-Spot awards provide immediate recognition to employees who demonstrate company values in their everyday activities.
