Eat right to protect your vison

May is Healthy Vision Month. Try incorporating these foods in your diet to help strengthen your eyes and protect them as you age.

•             Dark leafy greens like spinach, kale and collard greens.

•             Fish high in omega-3 fatty acids like salmon, albacore tuna, trout and halibut.

•             Nuts and legumes high in omega-3 fatty acids like walnuts, cashews and lentils.

•             Citrus fruits rich in vitamin C.

•             Root vegetables such as carrots and sweet potatoes rich in beta carotene.

Beginning May 3: Every Monday through end of June, with the exception of Memorial Day, 9 – 6 p.m.

Beginning July 6: Monday through Friday, 9 – 6 p.m.

The first Saturday of every month: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
