In a fast-paced work environment like the shipyard, staying organized and on task is essential. During our professional development session, The Art of Organized Productivity, shipbuilders got tips on how to work smarter, not harder, using practical strategies to help improve organization, time management and prioritization skills.
Amanda Martin, manager, Central Planning, guided shipbuilders in building habits that reduce stress to boost efficiency and impact.
“As a new shipbuilder, I’m learning to prioritize my tasks while balancing my workload,” said Chase Gunnufsen, project manager, Engineering. “I left this session with new strategies and tools that I am already putting to use.”
Shipbuilders learned ways to help them take control of their day, rather than letting their day control them. Participants prioritized what truly matters and learned techniques to structure the day with intention and clarity.
“This event included time management scenarios that were informative, useful and worthwhile,” said Leana Dusang, project management, Engineering. “Seeing Ingalls President Brian Blanchette and other leaders in attendance showed how important professional development is to help shipbuilders reach their full potential.”
