Today is a day we hoped we would never face here at Ingalls. This tragedy touches all of us, and my heart is with the victim’s family, friends, and every shipbuilder impacted. On behalf of Ingalls Shipbuilding and HII, I extend my deepest condolences.
I want to thank our local and state law enforcement agencies and our Ingalls Security team for their quick response and collaboration. Law enforcement is leading the investigation, and they will share details as they become available.
I know this news is difficult, and it’s okay to not be okay. Please know that you are not alone. If you need someone to talk to, support is available through the HERO Program.
