Over 1,500 shipbuilders bridged the gap of information at the Shipbuilder Resource Showcase on August 14.

From benefits to professional development, shipbuilders learned about the programs and services available to set them up for success both professionally and personally.

“This is a great opportunity to meet people and learn about professional development, benefits and ways to excel at Ingalls,” said Christian Nash, welder. “Most of us don’t have the time to ask questions about these things, so I’m glad they brought the resources to us.”

In addition to having direct access to tools for growth, shipbuilders also celebrated QuadMed’s Family Health Center’s (Gautier, MS) 10 years of service, cooling off with popsicles from Pop Brothers.

“It makes me proud to work for this company,” said Angel Martinez, welder. “I appreciate the effort to make all shipbuilders aware of the great resources Ingalls has to offer.”

Beyond information and access, the showcase was a reminder of the valuable resources Ingalls offers and the company’s commitment to its people. Whether answering a question or offering support, each conversation made a lasting impact.

“All it takes is one conversation to help someone out,” said Darron Hardy, talent acquisition representative. “Making a difference in a shipbuilder’s life is making an impact in the shipyard.”
