The Ingalls Apprentice School provides individuals with more than just a job; it provides a career path rooted in hands-on experience, mentoring and education. With multiple crafts to choose from, apprentices gain critical skills through a combination of classroom instruction and job rotations. This hands-on approach ensures apprentices not only master their craft but also how their work contributes to the larger mission of building ships that serve and protect our country.
Shipbuilding isn’t just about building ships; it’s about building careers. Our apprenticeship program provides opportunities for growth within Ingalls. Many of our apprentice graduates go on to assume leadership roles, carrying forward the lessons they’ve learned and helping guide the next generation of shipbuilders.
