Three Ingalls shipbuilders were recently recognized at the 2024 One Coast Awards as nominees, for their volunteerism, outstanding leadership and willingness to make a difference in the community.

Shelly Laughlin, manager, Business Management; Brian McVey, director, Environmental Health & Safety; and April Martin, manager, Information Systems Technology, were spotlighted as nominees at the annual One Coast Awards on April 16, 2024.

Ingalls Shipbuilding was the presenting sponsor, recognizing the importance of people like our own shipbuilders who are leaders and trailblazers for South Mississippi’s growth and economic development.

Kimberly Nastasi, vice president, Integrated Communications & Stakeholder Engagement, addressed the room and emphasized the important work all of the nominees do in our community as leaders. Kimberly also noted how Ingalls shipbuilders are leading the way on a daily basis by building the best, most technologically advanced ships that not only protect our servicemembers, but all citizens of South Mississippi and the United States alike.

Several Ingalls shipbuilders who are past recipients of a One Coast award also attended the ceremony.
