Operations Resource Centers (ORCs) serve as a safe space to support new foremen as they take on the daunting task of learning all the elements of their job. ORCs can help even our most experienced shipbuilders with specific issues they face each day.
Every Wednesday and Friday from 8-9:30 a.m.,the Human Resource & Administration (HR&A) department will be at different ORC locations in the shipyard to assist with any leadership, management and HR questions shipbuilders may have.
Upcoming ORC Dates for HR Assistance (8-9:30 a.m.):
Wednesday, April 17 |South side of the Outfitting Hall
Friday, April 19 | Track 3 at intersection of the east/west track
Wednesday, April 24 | River track between Machine shop and Wet Dock building (Bow of LHA 8)
Friday, April 26 | Track 6 at intersection of the river track
Wednesday, May 1 | South side of the Outfitting Hall
Friday, May 3 | Track 3 at intersection of the east/west track
Please keep in mind, this is NOT the only time you can receive help from HR. Also, these aren’t the only resources available to you at the ORCs.
