Following the successful acceptance trial of amphibious transport dock Richard M. McCool Jr. (LPD 29), Ingalls Shipbuilding donated 3,380 pounds of leftover food to The Lord Is My Help in Ocean Springs.

Shipbuilders are invited to support The Lord is My Help at their 10th annual Feed the Need Music Festival, happening from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, at Government Street Grocery. Tickets to the event include all-day access to the festival, a fish fry plate, live music and silent auction opportunities.

The Feed the Need Music Festival raises funds and awareness to support the nonprofit’s food security initiatives. The Lord Is My Help is a community kitchen and food pantry in Ocean Springs, responsible for serving more than 3,300 meals each month to community members in need.
