Ingalls Shipbuilding is monitoring the path of Hurricane Idalia in the Gulf of Mexico and will provide updates as available. As of Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, Idalia is forecast to become a major hurricane and make a Florida landfall by Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023. Until more details are available, take this time to make sure you are prepared and have a plan in place in the event this storm becomes a threat to our area.
