USS San Antonio (LPD 17), pictured left, and USS Gravely (DDG 107), right, moved into a tight formation with USNS Joshua Humphreys (T-AO 188), center, on Oct. 20, 2025. The three ships carried out a coordinated replenishment-at-sea while in the Caribbean, a routine evaluation that reached far beyond fuel lines.
U.S. forces are currently deployed throughout the area in support of U.S. Southern Command missions and Department of War-directed operations that disrupt illicit drug trafficking and protect the homeland.
DOING THEIR PART Replenishment evolutions like this one keep the mission moving, allowing the fleet to maintain presence, deter threats and respond when needed. The readiness and reach on display are a direct reflection of the ships beneath their boots.
DOING OURS LPD 17 and DDG 107 were built and shaped by the hands of thousands of Ingalls shipbuilders. Seeing these ships carry out real-world missions is a reminder of why this work matters and the trust the Navy places in what we build. With their presence, these ships show once again that when the nation calls, Ingalls-built ships answer.
