What Matters to You? | Preventing domestic violence and supporting victims of violence

Are you passionate about empowering domestic violence survivors and creating a safer, more compassionate community? The Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence (GCCFN) is seeking Volunteer Ambassadors to help support and advocate for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and survivors of homicide victims. By becoming an ambassador, you can make a meaningful impact and drive positive change in our community.

Get Involved: In line with our "What Matters to You" initiative, we encourage shipbuilders to explore this opportunity to make a difference. As a GCCFN ambassador, you’ll:

  • Raise awareness about GCCFN programs and services

  • Represent the organization at community events

  • Educate others about available resources

  • Play a vital role in supporting survivors

What We’re Looking For:

  • Compassionate and motivated individuals who want to make an impact

  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn

  • A desire to be a voice for survivors and a beacon of hope

Time Commitment:

  • Eight (8) hours of training: The first class will be held from 6-8 p.m. each Thursday evening in March 2025

  • Quarterly check-in/continuing education meetings
