Ingalls celebrated the Salvation Army’s service and commitment to the local community at the 2024 Taste of South Mississippi fundraiser. The Salvation Army provides resources and support for individuals and families by providing food, housing assistance and disaster relief support. In 2023, Ingalls partnered with the Salvation Army to create a “Center of Hope” facility in Jackson County, which provides emergency assistance and employment services.
Sondia Christian, Director, Business Integration & Financial Systems Support, represents Ingalls Shipbuilding on the Salvation Army Board of Directors, where she provides leadership and support for the organization’s initiatives.
The Salvation Army’s KROC center is located in Biloxi. Equipped with a fitness facility and indoor aquatics center, featuring an exercise pool, splash pad and two story waterslide.
