Thank you to the more than 100 shipbuilders who took time out to give the gift of life during three successful days of blood donation events in February.  In all, over 115 units of blood were collected. Some shipbuilders even donated double red blood cells, which means they were able to safely donate two units of blood in one sitting.

 Did you know?

  • A typical whole-blood donation is one pint, but the average adult has around 10 pints of blood.

  • A single blood donation can save up to three lives.

  • In the U.S., someone needs blood every two seconds.

  • Only three percent of age-eligible people in the U.S. donate blood each year.

The next blood drive events will be held June 12-14, 2024. Charge numbers are provided for those who participate. Keep an eye on the IngallsConnect App for details on how to donate and help save a life!
