Community leaders learned about the American Heart Association’s partnerships with Ingalls and other local businesses at the Jackson County Heart Walk kick-off breakfast. Shipbuilders talked with members of the community about the shipyard’s effort to promote healthy living that results in longer lives.

Premo Sabatini, vice president, Central Planning & Process Excellence, is the chair for the 2024 Jackson County Heart Walk and spoke at the event.

Joining Premo for a panel discussion was Susan Jacobs, vice president, Human Resources & Administration, as well as representatives from Singing River Health System and the Boys & Girls Club of Jackson County. The panel discussed the importance of many employee and community health resources that are at the center of the American Heart Association’s mission.

February is American Heart Month, and the American Heart Association (AHA) will celebrate its centennial in 2024 with "Bold Hearts." The American Heart Association's annual Jackson County Heart Walk will be held Saturday, May 4, at Pascagoula Beach Park.
