Our pre-supervisor course is now available for 2nd shift shipbuilders, giving you a clear path into craft leadership and the tools to succeed as a leader and supervisor.

- This course will help you build that foundation before taking on a supervisory role
What To Know:
- Open to All Craft: For shipbuilders employed at least 6 months who want to grow into leadership, including current work leads
- About the Course:
- Classes begin April 24 in the Covey Room
- Meets every Friday for 8 weeks
- Courses must be done outside of work hours
- What You’ll Learn: Each week focuses on a different part of what it means to lead
- Communication > Accountability > Expectations > Culture
- Capstone Project: Show how you’ll apply what you’ve learned in your current job
- Craft-Focused: Includes leadership lessons designed to help you succeed in our shipbuilding environment
- Enrollment Requirements:
- Must be an Ingalls shipbuilder for 6+ months
- No safety-related layoffs
- No more than 2 DANS
- No more than 3 unexcused absences
