In honor of National Intern Day, Ingalls wants to highlight the great work on display by the Information Technology (IT) interns.
IT department interns supported Production Control (PC) during inventory of the pipe shop storeroom. This process involves tedious work inputting data and transactions in the Industrial & Financial Systems (IFS). With the interns’ support, inventory was completed in an efficient and timely manner, allowing PC to focus on other critical tasks in the shipyard.
IT interns also played a huge role in the equipment roundup this month, supporting shipbuilders who dropped off old or unwanted items.
