Over the past two weeks, shipbuilders came together to support animals in need—collecting nearly 250 pounds of kibble, more than 100 cans of wet food, plus towels, cleaning supplies, treats, and toys for the Jackson County Animal Shelter.

Walking through the shelter doors with these donations was a proud reminder of why we give back. Shelters run on compassion, but they also depend on community support to feed, care for, and give every dog and cat a chance at a forever home.

Each year, shipbuilders share what matters most to them—and caring for pets in need consistently rises to the top. This drive was one way to honor that commitment, showing how compassion, responsibility, and connection create meaningful impact both inside and outside our gates.

Want to do more? Consider volunteering your time at the Jackson County Animal Shelter or celebrate the pets in your life by sharing their photos to the Team Tails page on the HII Website. Together, we’re showing that what matters to our community matters to Ingalls.
