Introducing...the Ingalls Excellence Awards!
Every day, shipbuilders across Ingalls make decisions, solve problems and do work that makes a difference for our people, our ships and the warfighter.
The Ingalls Excellence Awards is a new annual, companywide awards program recognizing shipbuilders and teams whose work makes a meaningful difference for our people, our ships and the warfighter. Award recipients will be honored at a special recognition ceremony.
Any active Ingalls shipbuilder or team of shipbuilders can be nominated in the following categories:

Safety Champion: Goes above and beyond to identify hazards, improve safe work practices and help ensure every shipbuilder goes home safely every day

Integrity & Values in Action: Does the right thing, even when it is difficult or unpopular, and leads by example through honesty, accountability and ethical decision-making

Outstanding Performance & Innovation: Drives meaningful improvements in efficiency, quality, cost, schedule or workforce effectiveness through new ideas, better processes or exceptional performance

Leadership & Engagement: Builds trust, develops others, strengthens our culture and helps shipbuilders feel informed, connected and empowered

Warfighter Mission Impact: Advances the readiness, quality and capability of the ships we build and demonstrates a clear commitment to doing what is right for the warfighter

Craft Excellence: Demonstrates exceptional skill, precision, first-time quality and pride in their craft while setting an example of excellence on the deckplate and beyond

Who can be nominated? Individuals or teams can be nominated, including both represented and non-represented Ingalls shipbuilders.
Who can submit a nomination? Nominations can come from a teammate, supervisor, manager or cross-functional partner. Self-nominations are welcome.
What makes a strong nomination? Tell us what they did, why it mattered and the impact it made. Details such as safety improvements, cost savings, schedule recovery, quality results, testimonials or customer feedback can help tell the story.
