Organizational Announcement
I am pleased to announce that Carlos Lett has been selected as Director of Labor Relations and Talent Acquisition, continuing 35 years of dedicated service to Ingalls.
With a strong record of leadership, Carlos will continue overseeing all aspects of labor relations for our union-represented workforce, including strategy development, negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements. He will also assume responsibility for leading talent acquisition strategies, policies and programs to ensure Ingalls attracts, hires and retains the talent needed to meet both current and future business demands. This includes driving sourcing and recruiting initiatives, improving hiring processes, and ensuring compliance with federal requirements.
Carlos began his career in craft and has held roles of increasing responsibility, including multiple management roles across the shipyard, culminating in his previous position as Director of Labor Relations. His leadership has been instrumental in multiple successful labor negotiations, including the recent historic five-year bargaining agreement ratified by all unions.
Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology and a Master of Business Administration, both from The University of Southern Mississippi. In addition to holding national SPHR and SCP certifications, he’s an alumnus of both Leadership Jackson County and Leadership Mississippi. A proud third-generation shipbuilder, Carlos is a previous recipient of an Ingalls President’s Award.
Please join me in congratulating Carlos and supporting him as he expands his leadership role to better serve our workforce.
