Anchors of Excellence | Shipbuilders on DDG 128 recognized by ship leadership

Shipbuilders working aboard Ted Stevens (DDG 128) were recognized recently by the Navy for their dedication to excellence. 

Capt. Mary Katey Hays, DDG 128 Commanding Officer and Lt. Cmdr. Jeffrey BortzCombat Systems Officer, presented shipbuilders from Pipe, Rigging and Machinery with both a ship and CO’s coin.  

“Receiving a CO’s coin is extremely special and can be sometimes referred to as a challenge coin,” explained Cory AllenWest Coast Warranty Manager, Fleet Services. “It is an honor and a privilege to receive these coins. We greatly appreciate the CO showing her gratitude for the hard work and efforts made by our shipbuilders.”
