Ingalls Shipbuilding welcomed nearly 50 leaders from across the state as part of Leadership Mississippi’s latest cohort. During their visit, Ingalls President Brian Blanchette shared an inside look at our company and his perspective on leadership, – emphasizing trust, empowerment and continuous learning.
Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson also joined the discussion, highlighting the impact of our work and reminding attendees that Ingalls shipbuilders have built nearly 60% of the U.S. Navy fleet. During a Q&A, Watson encouraged emerging leaders to surround themselves with strong teams and empower people to succeed. He also shared updates on his Youth Leadership Program, which includes 75 students who visited Ingalls a few days after the Leadership Mississippi visit.
