How you respond to change in the workplace can play a huge role in your career. Jenni Jones, Chief of Staff, Hull, used her experience with change and turned it into a teachable moment at the latest professional development series, “Adapting with Impact: Strategies for Navigating Change.”
Jenni connected with shipbuilders in attendance by sharing stories about how she has personally embraced change and applied those lessons throughout her career in the shipyard.
“I am appreciative of Jenni’s willingness to disclose personal challenges and how they shaped her into the accomplished woman she is today,” said Rebecca Sparkman, logistics manager, Engineering. “Life's experiences can be diverse and often unknown to others, and Jenni’s strength and resilience is both inspiring and a reminder that we are not alone in our struggles.”
Jenni also shared how journaling, mentorship and staying positive are ways to navigate change. Shipbuilders left the presentation full of enthusiasm after an engaging session.
“Jenni was very informative and inspiring,” said Gerri Leggett, logistics engineer. “Thanks to all who put these events together. I’m looking forward to bringing some co-workers to join me for the next one.”
