Shipbuilders,

As part of our continued commitment to supporting our workforce and community, I’m proud to share that Ingalls Shipbuilding is taking meaningful steps to help address food insecurity across the Gulf Coast. We are leveraging and increasing investment in important existing partnerships and creating new ones, continuing our commitment to ensuring families have access to healthy meals.

  • We are contributing $25,000 to local food banks and partner agencies equipped to respond effectively to community needs. In addition, we are launching an on-campus food drive effective immediately. For a list of drop-off locations, click here.

These efforts are designed to ensure that resources are available to any of our team members or neighbors who may be experiencing food insecurity. If you or someone you know could benefit from these services, please visit one of the following:

For those who feel called to give personally, click here to donate to the Food Insecurity Fund established through the Gulf Coast Community Foundation, which allows you to designate to a specific organization of your choice.

Ingalls’ support of these organizations begins with the initial contribution we are making now, and we remain committed to continuing this support throughout the holidays as we always have. The increased demand for food assistance has placed a strain on community organizations and depleted their resources, particularly as they enter the busy holiday season.

Want to donate your time? Email CommunityRelations@hii.com to be connected with opportunities.

Thank you for your continued generosity, compassion and commitment to strengthening our community. Together, we are making a lasting difference.
