Ingalls Shipbuilding is proud to announce the promotion of Lauren Daniel to Director and Ship Program Manager for DDG 128, recognizing a proven leader with nearly two decades of shipbuilding and engineering experience.

She has been serving as the Ship Program Manager (SPM) for DDG 128, where she has played a critical role in advancing the program and ensuring successful milestones, with the most recent being builder’s trials. This promotion is a testament to her performance and leadership.

Daniel began her career with Engineering as a student intern and has steadily advanced through a variety of technical and leadership roles, including Marine Technical COG Engineer, DDG Ship Design Manager, and Post Launch Manager for the DDG program on the waterfront.

In 2023, Daniel received the prestigious Aegis Excellence Award for her leadership and technical contributions as Ship Design Manager during construction and delivery of the first Flight III destroyer DDG 125. In the same year, she was recognized as a member of Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40. Her career reflects both technical expertise and a strong commitment to advancing Ingalls’ mission of supporting our nation’s defense.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering and Shipyard Management from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a United States Coast Guard Third Assistant Engineer’s License, Unlimited Horsepower (Steam, Motor, Gas Turbine). She also served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Reserve Strategic Sealift Officer program.

Please join us in congratulating Lauren on this well-deserved promotion and in supporting her as she continues to lead with excellence and vision.
