June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month — a time to reflect on the importance of brain health and honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. At Ingalls Shipbuilding, this message hits close to home. Every year, we ask shipbuilders: What matters to you? For many, the answer is family, connection, and the memories that shape us.

That’s why we’re proud to stand with the Alzheimer’s Association and support the Gulf Coast Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Biloxi. This annual event unites communities in the fight against a disease that impacts more than 6 million Americans. For many shipbuilders, this walk is personal — a chance to honor parents, grandparents, friends, and loved ones whose stories matter.

The 2025 walk will take place on Saturday, October 4 at Point Cadet Plaza in Biloxi. Shipbuilders, families, and community members are encouraged to join the Ingalls team or support the cause through donations and awareness.

To help raise awareness and kick off this year’s walk, the Alzheimer’s Association is hosting a kickoff event. This gathering will highlight the mission behind the walk and offer a deeper look at how our Gulf Coast community is making a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
