With over seven years of shipbuilding experience, Stephen Harris, quality analyst, helps deliver vital, quality-focused data aimed at reducing potential situations that may arise during ship construction.

“I facilitate process metrics on a bi-weekly basis to serve as a beacon for deckplate bill performance for all crafts,” said Stephen. “This helps communicate the status of Quality & Engineering’s goals on a monthly basis.”

In his role, Stephen helps identify, monitor and prevent issues before they become a problem, ensuring construction stays on schedule. Stephen has recently broadened his responsibilities, utilizing training and new challenges to grow his skills and help his team even more.

“Over the past six months, Stephen has not only maintained his original areas of responsibility but has also filled the gap for other roles,” said Ed Williams, manager, Quality & Engineering. “His dedication and can-do attitude inspires his peers and other shipbuilders.”

“I’m all about teamwork and never shying away from a task,” said Stephen. “Real quality stems from reliably doing things right the first time. It’s a direct by-product of taking pride in everything you do.”

Thank you, Stephen, for truly exemplifying the mantra “Quality Matters.”
