Please join me in welcoming Keith Davis to the Ingalls Infrastructure & Sustainability team as the Director of Emergency Operations & Security. In this role, Keith will oversee all security operations, leading a team of professionals in physical security, access control, crisis and emergency management, insider threat prevention, and industrial security management.
Keith brings more than three decades of public service and law enforcement leadership to Ingalls, most recently serving as Colonel of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s Law Enforcement Division. In this capacity, he provided executive oversight for multiple key agencies, including Capitol Police, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Homeland Security, and the Office of Public Safety & Planning. He also served as chief advisor to the Commissioner of Public Safety, managing fiscal operations and budgetary strategy.
His career includes leadership roles across state and local law enforcement agencies. As Chief of Staff to the Mississippi Secretary of State, he guided legislative policy and oversaw the department’s financial operations. As Chief of Marine Patrol at the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, Keith identified and secured $1 million in Homeland Security funding to enhance security at the ports of Gulfport and Pascagoula and led joint patrols with NOAA to safeguard federal marine waters. He has also served as Chief of Police in Moss Point and as Chief of Campus Police at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
He is a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy and the FBI Mississippi Command College and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administration of Justice from the University of Southern Mississippi.
With a career rooted in public safety, strategic planning, and community engagement, Keith is excited to bring his experience to Ingalls and looks forward to working alongside our shipbuilders to ensure a safe and secure workplace.
